Orowheat Bread

This is a compensated review from BlogHer and Orowheat

Recently I was lucky enough to be chosen for a review of Orowheat Dutch Country Bread. I was sent Potato, Fiber, and 100% Whole Wheat.

We eat a lot of sandwiches around here. Brian takes two a day, and the kids each get one. Brian also happens to be picky about his bread. I didn't tell him I was switching his bread, instead just made his lunch the normal way, packed it, kissed him good-bye and waited for the phone call. It never came! He came home and told me the bread was great!

I actually gave him one of each, the fiber and the whole wheat. They were both incredibly moist. I don't eat wheat bread because it tends to have a rough, stale texture that I don't like. This bread didn't have that. It was the perfect texture. Not to rough and not too soft. The flavor was also wonderful. In fact this white bread girl found herself eating wheat sandwiches.

The potato bread is my favorite. The three kids loved it too. Actually, it took a little bit of persuasion on my end. My son William who is 5, was a bit freaked out by the yellowish color. (Boys!) But after he tasted it he loved it! The girls who aren't as picky as their brother said the bread was perfect. I personally loved the size of the bread. A lot of loafs of white bread, the slices are very small. These slices are a real size.

I will buy this bread again and again and give it a 10 out of 10!

What are your favorite uses for bread? My family eats mostly sandwiches, but I know many others use bread for toast, french toast,or stuffing a chicken. Maybe you even have a fancy sandwich to share. A moist maker, or your own personal invention. Please share all of your ideas with us and you will be entered into the Orowheat giveaway.

  15. Don't forget the avacado on a BLT. Ymummy. I a m trying hard to get my twin boys aged 12, who eat two sandwitches at thier lunch, to eat healthier. I think that perhaps the addition of Orowheat breads would be a great place to begin.

  21. We love sandwiches at our house. Like Elizabeth, the open-faced tuna, with egg in the mix, topped with cheddar, then toasted in the oven until crunchy is one of our favs. We call them Tuna Cheesies.

  23. Any of the grainy breads, lightly buttered, one slice face down on a warmed up skillet. Grate cheese onto the unbuttered side (I use cheddar and parmesan reggiano). Top with thin slice of beefsteak tomato and crumpled crispy bacon then grate more cheese to cover and top with another slice of buttered bread, butter side up. Cover. Turn heat up on skillet to brown bread and melt cheese. Watch and turn ONCE when 1st side is to your liking. Remove, cut , eat, smile :-)

  26. My masterpiece just requires putting peanut butter on both slices of bread so the jelly doesn't make the bread all soggy.
